Job Title: Community Engagement & Events Coordinator 

Reports to: Executive Director

Location: Wellfleet, MA

FLSA Status: Full-time, or 2 part time positions  

Salary range: 52,000-65,000 (pro-rated if part time) 

The Mission of Wellfleet Preservation Hall (WPH) is to create and nurture community connections. We imagine, generate and support year-round opportunities for the community to learn, grow, celebrate, and enjoy the Outer Cape, provide experiences for all, and support economic vitality through the promotion of arts and culture. In doing so, we serve to preserve the Hall and plan for its future. 

Position Overview

The Community Engagement & Events Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end planning of special events

    • community & fundraising events 

  • End-to-end planning of private events

    •  weddings, memorials, parties

  • Recruiting & scheduling special & private event staff and volunteers. 

  • Growing & maintaining volunteer database 

  • Ensuring the facility is well maintained & operating smoothly 

  • Working collaboratively with staff & community to execute successful events

  • Expertise in communications (written and oral), PR, marketing/promotions using social media platforms and creative advertising.

  • Be a problem solver; can take initiative and prioritize effectively.

  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Experience in event management and large scale event planning. 

  • Excels in project management.

  • Excellent computer skills. 

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to handle flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends. 

  • High attention to detail.
